A federal court issued an injunction preventing the U.S. Department of Education from implementing the Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) Plan and parts of other income-driven repayment (IDR) plans.
The U.S. Department of Education is notifying borrowers with loans in the SAVE forbearance that interest will begin accruing again starting August 1, 2025.

Federal student loan borrowers are automatically opted in to receive texts due to authorization that was granted in the Master Promissory Note (MPN).
