On Oct. 30, 2025, the U.S. Department of Education published final Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program regulations that will be effective on July 1, 2026. We’ll provide updates when the regulations are implemented. For now, there are no impacts to borrowers, payment counts, or discharges.

A federal court issued an injunction preventing the U.S. Department of Education from implementing the Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) Plan and parts of other income-driven repayment (IDR) plans.

Government Shutdown: As of October 1, 2025, the Federal government has shut down. We will continue being available for assistance as the shutdown currently does not have any impact on your federal student loans. SAVE: The U.S. Department of Education previously notified borrowers with loans in the SAVE forbearance that interest began accruing August 1, 2025. Visit StudentAid.gov/SAVE for details, including how to stay on track for Public Service Loan Forgiveness and Income Driven Repayment Forgiveness.
